The Summit venue is the Grand Ballroom on the first floor of the Hotel Grand Chancellor's conference centre. The venue is accessible via ramp and lift, has natural light with a view to the Roma Street Parklands and has wireless internet access.

A separate quiet space and lived experience peer workers will also be made available to delegates who may be distressed and need to take time out from the Summit.

Accommodation

Summit delegates requiring accommodation will have access to a special accommodation rate from 22-25 November 2022. Delegates will be required to contact the hotel's reservations department directly to make booking arrangements. You will be required to mention you are attending the Leading reform Summit to achieve the special accommodation rates.

The hotel car park is located under the building with access via Leichhardt Street or Wickham Terrace.

Daily parking is available to delegates at $15.00 per day (maximum 10 hours).

  • To get a parking discount voucher please see one of the Commission staff, otherwise you will be charged the full car parking rate.

  • Payment can be made by credit card at the car park exit or cash payments are accepted at the hotel reception.  For guests staying in-house, parking is available for $32.00 (10–24 hours).

  • Car parking at the venue is subject to availability and prices are subject to change without notice.

Bus

Arriving by bus

A Translink Go Card is required for bus services.

  • Translink Spring Hill Loop - bus route 30 operates weekdays between Brisbane City and Spring Hill, including Central Station. Exit at Wickham Terrace Chancellor Stop 131 - with a three minute, 190m walk to the venue. Look for the yellow bus stop signs.
  • Translink bus route 373 stops at the Leichhardt Street and Allenby Street Stop 2, a short 1 minute walk to the venue (33 metres).

 

Shuttle

Arriving by airport shuttle

Con-x-ion provides door-to-door airport transfers to the venue. The shuttle service needs to be booked and paid for in advance. Delegates arriving at Brisbane airport should report to the Con-x-ion airport service desk to check-in. Luggage allowance includes one suitcase and one carry on item - extra standard sized luggage costs $6 per item. To book:  

 

Train

Arriving by train

Central Station is the recommended station for arriving by train, as it has good connections to the Translink Spring Hill Loop bus service. Go to Edward Street Stop 141 near Ann Street.

Roma Street Station is closer to the venue, however It's recommended a taxi be taken as it's a 20 minute walk uphill to the venue.
