The Leading Reform Summit is the Queensland Mental Health Commission’s annual two-day forum for leaders in Queensland’s mental health, alcohol and other drugs, suicide prevention and associated human services sectors.

The summit is intended to be a catalyst to align leaders, develop solutions to problems, introduce new strategies, fuel collaboration, spark ideas, harness the collective knowledge of sector leaders and drive the reform agenda forward.

Essentially, the summit engages leaders in leading and delivering the essential reforms necessary to deliver better outcomes for individuals, the broader population and the system. It’s an opportunity to develop a collective position around reform priorities, grounded in best practice and contemporary evidence.

The Summit is being held over two days as follows:

Yes. Sometimes the subjects we discuss can be unexpectedly distressing and we want to provide a caring and safe environment for all our delegates.

A support worker will be available in a private area away from the plenary room for anyone who feels distressed or would like time out. 

All delegates and participants are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct: 

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate during any aspect of this event, including talks, workshops, parties, social media, or other online media.

Participants violating these rules may be expelled from the event at the discretion of event manager/s. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Tickets to the Summit are free to all delegates.

However, tickets are limited to 300 places, and are frequently booked out, so it is best to register as early as possible to guarantee your place.

As costs are incurred by the organiser for every registered attendee, we ask that if you register you personally commit to attending the event (pending illness and extenuating circumstances) to avoid any unnecessary waste of resources.

• Attendance at the days you have registered for the Summit
• Meals - Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
• Attendance at the Summit breakfast (if registered)
• Any conference papers

No. Because registrations are in demand, they book out quickly. There are only 300 registrations available for the Summit.

To ensure you get a spot, keep an eye out for when registrations open.

If the Summit is fully booked at the time you register, you will be prompted to join the Summit Waitlist. Complete your details as required and submit. If/ when a spot becomes available you will be notified by email and will be given 48 hours to accept or decline this spot.

Yes. If you are unable to attend and wish to nominate someone to attend on your behalf, please use the modify registration button on your registration email confirmation sent from qmhc@mbsquared.com.au.

If can no longer attend and are unable to transfer your registration to another colleague, you are requested to cancel you attendance immediately so your ticket can be re-issued to someone on the wait list.
